IPS Events in the Year 2006

NEWS - 37th IPhO July 2006, Singapore at NIE, NTU

Upon the successful conclusion of this event, the IPS President, Professor Andrew Wee, would like to thank our Council Members:

• Chairman of the 37th IPhO Professor Xu SY and Vice-Chairman Associate Professor Kwek LC; for their immense effort and significant contributions made to the Singapore Physics scene in organising this international event.
• The Editors of the IPS Update Associate Professor Fong SK and Dr. Phil Chan; for a successful run of the Special Astronomy issue of the IPS Update, Volume 10, that was read by the IPhO delegates from more than 90 countries around the world.

* This event was graced by Professor Paul Davis, Templeton Prize Winner, and saw more than a thousand participants from 90 countries, 85 Telescopes and 47 pairs of Binoculars, making it one of the largest international star parties in the history of Astronomy activities in Singapore.
