The Physics Society has organized a Python Workshop that will be open to all students.

In this workshop, you will learn how to use python to do basic curve fitting, basic graph plotting and visualization.

No prior experience with python is required, a short crash course on python basics will be included.

The Physics Society has organized a LaTeX workshop that is open to all students who are interested and wish to learn the basics of LaTeX.

LaTeX is a professional high-quality document preparation system that is frequently used by professionals for publication of scientific documents, research journals, and dissertations.

NUS Physics Society is working together with MAXIMUS to organize a career seminar for our physics majors. With this seminar, we intend to:
  1. Raise awareness about careers in physics.
  2. Help students understand their career personality.
The seminar tentatively consists of two parts:

Part 1 (2 hours)
  • Self-discovery tools – discovering your skill sets and what you value in a career.
  • Resume building/crafting + cover letter writing
Part 2 (2 hours)
  • Job search strategies
  • Interview skills
We would like to gauge the interest levels of our physics majors and help to raise any questions you want answered to ensure that the career seminar will be a more fruitful session. Hey Physics Majors!

Do you want to have a say in what this year’s Physics T-Shirt will look like? Do you have some talent in design? Take part in our Physics T-Shirt design contest!

Deadline for submissions is 7th September. After that, the best designs will be shortlisted and the physics cohort will vote on their favourite to be this year’s NUS Physics Shirt! The winner will get a $20 reward and a shirt of the winning design!
